Myeloproliferative Neoplasms associated Splanchnic Vein Thrombosis (MPN-SVT)
Are you interested in taking part in a research study being led by King’s College London? If you are someone living with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms associated Splanchnic Vein Thrombosis (MPN-SVT), or a healthcare professional with expertise in MPN-SVT, you could help improve information and services for people living with this rare condition.
MPN Voice funded, with part-funding from the Royal Free Charity, a previous King’s College London study, where people with MPN-SVT and healthcare professionals shared their experiences and views. Findings from this study powerfully demonstrated the unmet needs of many people with MPN-SVT. A short film has been produced, made up of interviews with individuals diagnosed with MPN-SVT, the participants generously shared their stories highlighting key moments that significantly shaped their journey, you can view the film here.
King’s College London researchers are now bringing people with MPN-SVT and healthcare professionals together to build on these findings and develop new care processes and resources that will improve the experiences of people with MPN-SVT. Further information about the study can be found here.
If you are someone with MPN-SVT or a healthcare professional with experience in this area, and you are interested in taking part, please contact the researchers mpn-svt@kcl.ac.uk to find out more. Recruitment for this study is limited to participants living in England only, but we expect findings to be relevant more widely.
Please note, a limited number of people will be recruited to this study. Recruitment will close when enough people have agreed to take part. The aim is to have completed recruitment by 1st October 2024.
