THIS IS AN IN-PERSON FORUM NOT VIRTUAL/ONLINE
You are welcome to attend this forum regardless of where you live or which hospital you attend, if you are willing to travel we will be happy to see you. You are welcome to bring your family and friends with you. There is no fee to attend this forum, a complimentary buffet lunch and refreshments will be served during the forum.
Arrival/registration is from 10 am with refreshments. The forum will start at 10.30 am and end at 2 pm.
Programme
The programme will include talks from Dr Ioannis Koutsavlis, Consultant Haematologist, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh; Dr Katrina Dodds, Consultant Haematologist, NHS Lothian, Edinburgh; CNS Alexis Thomson, Dept of Haematology, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh; MPN patient speakers; Q&A session. The programme will also include breakout groups for each MPN where patients can meet in smaller groups to discuss everyday challenges and swap tips and chat with other people who have the same MPN, there will also be a family and friends group, this gives your family and friends a chance to chat to others about how to help and support you and themselves. Parking – is unavailable at the hotel, the nearest car park is located at Edinburgh Waverley train station, approximately a 10 minute walk from the hotel, there is a 10% discount for all attendees, car park tickets must be validated at the hotel reception desk to receive the discount, please bring your ticket with you to the hotel.
There is no fee to attend this forum, however, MPN Voice is a charity which relies on donations to support forums, research and patient support activities, and we kindly ask that you consider making a donation to cover some of the costs for the lunch and refreshments, which is approximately £10 per person.
