In Conversation with Mark Taylor, who talks to Nona about his PV and being a volunteer with MPN Voice, building up and maintaining the social media platforms. Mark begins by telling Nona that as a military air traffic controller he is subject to annual medicals, and following blood tests, he was diagnosed with JAKII positive PV. His PV is managed with Clopidogrel and venesections, which are now every 2 – 3 months, but he does find them tiring. Mark is a qualified yoga teacher and also practices ‘Yoga Nidra’ to aid sleep and deep relaxation, which he finds very beneficial. Currently shore based, Mark says he can still go to sea and be deployed, and would have a full risk assessment carried out to ensure he would be able to continue his treatment during his deployment.
